Programme Manager
  1. Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher particularly in Project Management, Finance, or any degree relevant to management, administration and accounting or relevant qualifications from an accredited tertiary institution.
  1. Experience:
  • At least 3 years’ experience in management, finance, planning, and administration including data collection, reporting and communication of results to inform decision-making, approval and endorsement.
  • Understanding of current Pacific Islands coastal fisheries management, climate change and science issues, and experience of working with gender issues relating to fisheries.
  • Experience with donor-funded projects, especially projects involving regional organizations, and international organizations such as the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and GCF would be an added advantage.
Programme Manager GCF(Tonga Fish Project)
Consulting
  • Master’s degree in environmental science, climate change, fisheries, development studies or related field
  • At least 5 years of professional experience on climate change adaptation
  • Sound knowledge of the fisheries and aquaculture context in the Pacific
  • Demonstrated experience with multi-stakeholder and multi-disciplinary consultation processes
  • Previous experience in feasibility studies, concept/proposal formulation for the Green Climate Fund, Adaptation Fund or Global Environment Fund is a strong asset
  • Excellent analytical and drafting skills

  1. Experience:
  • At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in gender, women studies or human rights and law/policy to inform decision-making.
  • Understanding of current Pacific Islands coastal fisheries management and climate change, science issues, and experience of working with gender issues relating to fisheries

  1. Experiences:
  • At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in climate change and/or fisheries management relevant to coastal resources, analysis and communication of results to inform project development.
  • Understanding of current Pacific Islands coastal fisheries management and climate change science risks and impacts, and experience of working with gender and social inclusion issues relating to fisheries management.
  • Experience with donor-funded projects, especially projects involving regional organizations, and international organizations such as the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and GCF would be an added advantage.
